NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TaxDome, the practice management platform used by more than 15,000 accounting firms, today released a public API and an MCP server, opening the platform to every firm. Firms can connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants to their TaxDome data, or build their own tools on top of it, reading and updating data within the limits set by the firm.

What's launching

• MCP server: connect Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol. Ask which jobs are overdue, get briefed on a client before a call, or set up a new client from an email, in one conversation across TaxDome and the firm's other connected tools.
• Public API: read and write access that keeps TaxDome in sync with the firm's other tools. A deal closing in a CRM can create the client account, and a finished meeting can move the job to its next stage.
• Firm-controlled access: firm owners decide who on the team can use the API and MCP, and choose for each area of TaxDome whether a connection can read only or also make changes. A connection can never do more than the person who set it up, so it only reaches the clients that person can already see.

More than 200 firms participated in the beta. "The TaxDome MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT has transformed how I run my practice," said Sarah Eck of Eck Tax. "It brings our data together so I can get answers on workload, deadlines, and client activity in seconds."
