Powermax Minerals (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has commenced high-resolution helicopter-borne geophysical surveys and field exploration programs at its Pinard and Hopkins rare earth element (“REE”) properties in Ontario. The airborne programs, being conducted by Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc., will collect magnetic, radiometric spectrometric and VLF-EM data designed to help identify geological structures, alteration patterns, radiometric anomalies and other features prospective for REE mineralization. The Pinard survey is planned to cover approximately 1,319 line-kilometres, while the Hopkins program will span approximately 1,623 line-kilometres across the Hopkins West and Hopkins East survey blocks.

In parallel with the airborne work, Powermax has initiated field prospecting, geological mapping and sampling programs at both properties. The company said results from the geophysical surveys and field exploration activities will be integrated with existing geological information to prioritize targets for follow-up exploration. CEO Paul Gorman said the combination of high-resolution geophysical data and field-based exploration is expected to provide a strong technical foundation for advancing the company’s Ontario REE portfolio and guiding the next phase of exploration.
