Employee contributions will help Advocates expand services for the more than 50,000 residents and families it serves each year
BOSTON, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees of Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) and CareSource have raised $50,000 for Advocates, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization providing comprehensive services for people with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges and other complex needs.

CCA, part of the CareSource family of companies, participated in the effort through the organization's 2026 Workplace Giving Campaign. Administered by the CareSource Foundation, the campaign gives employees the opportunity to support nonprofit organizations addressing critical health and social needs in the communities it serves. This year's campaign is focused on addressing the mental health crisis affecting communities across the country.
"CCA and CareSource employees care, and they generously support the communities we serve. CareSource's Workplace Giving Campaign and Advocates' Friendship Project are both grounded in a shared belief that by bringing people together, by reaching out to one another, we give fuller meaning to each of our lives. Togetherness matters – a simple idea with profound impacts," said John Koehn, President of Commonwealth Care Alliance and CareSource Market President of Massachusetts. "As CareSource continues to invest in Massachusetts, we are bringing additional resources, expertise, and more importantly, the strength and heart of our people to improve care and services across the Commonwealth. This effort further exemplifies that commitment."
Advocates partners with people navigating life challenges to support growth, learning and connection to their communities, providing a person-centered approach to more than 50,000 individuals and families each year. One of the many programs offered by Advocates is The Friendship Project, which pairs community volunteers with individuals in need to reduce social isolation and improve quality of life. CCA is a proud longtime partner of the Project, supporting its mission to foster meaningful community connections.
"We are immensely grateful to the employees of Commonwealth Care Alliance and CareSource for their generosity and commitment to the communities we serve," said Regina Marshall, CEO of Advocates. "This contribution reflects a shared belief that everyone deserves access to the support, connections, and opportunities they need to thrive. Partnerships like ours with CCA help expand our impact and ensure that more people facing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and other complex needs can access the services and community connections that make a meaningful difference in their lives."
In addition to Advocates, 2026 CareSource Workplace Giving Campaign beneficiaries include Ohio-based Integrated Services for Behavioral Health and Nevada-based The Children's Cabinet.
